Raquy renowned teacher and dumbek player has been bringing over her line of high quality egyptian dumbeks in both 4 and 6 peg size.
These are made by Egy Gawhara (formerly Gawharat el Fan) and are selected for sound and quality. This current batch is the best quality so far. Percussionist Rami tunes all the drums before they ship and they come with case, key and spare head. They run 250 plus shipping

Tue, December 22, 2009 - 5:19 PMYa, that's the point. These guys play and tune the drums so they sound good. Generally quality varies from the mideast--so in this case you get a good guarantee it will be a great drum!
I get you about wanting to play the drum, though... but some folks are very far from any dumbek stores :)
